Why You Should Buy Our Album on Bandcamp

ImageHello everyone!  As you all know, our self-titled debut album comes out today and is available on iTunes, Amazon MP3, and CD Baby.  We love providing options and convenience for you to purchase our album, but for anyone looking for the best bang for your buck, I recommend buying our album from our Bandcamp page.  Here’s why:

You can stream our entire album.  Let’s face it: NOBODY REALLY KNOWS WHO THE HELL D.B. COOPER DUO IS.  In our opinion, 30-90 second previews are stupid because you don’t build an audience by selling music, but by building an audience to sell music.  You can’t beat hearing our entire album for FREE on Bandcamp. You can stream our music any time you want (for as many times as you want).  Bandcamp provides our music at an incredible speed and makes our lyrics available to you.  That way, you can rock out and sing (or scream) along.

You can choose any file type you want.   On Bandcamp, we are able to release our album in high-quality MP3 (320 kbps), WAV, FLAC, ALAC, and OGG formats, giving you options.  They are all provided on one site and available for you to choose.

Artwork, digital booklet, extras.  Buying our album on our Bandcamp page also allows us to give away photos, album artwork, liner notes, and lyrics.   We also are able to sell physical copies of our album.  Everybody likes having more stuff (especially for less).  This brings me to our next point:

It is cheaper for you.  It may be convenient for people to spend $8-10 and buy our music off iTunes or Amazon.  And that is totally fine (that’s why we have options for you).  Fortunately, we are able to sell our music for much less on Bandcamp.  We are selling our digital and physical album for $3 and $7, respectively.  If you are feeling even more gracious and want to further support our music, you can donate more.  It’s all up to you.  We make roughly the same amount of money as we do from iTunes, Amazon, and CD Baby, so don’t spend more if you don’t have to.

Payment is simple.   Ok, so it may not be as simple as buying from iTunes and having your music put directly in your music library, but it is much more user-friendly.  You can use your PayPal account or debit/credit card.  It’s just 3 clicks and a password confirmation away.

Share our music via social media.  If you want to be the cat’s pajamas, you can share our music on Facebook or embed it on your blog or site.   It shows how much of a badass you are and allows people to see why you are so damn cool.

I’m sure after reading all of this, you must think we work for Bandcamp.  Surprisingly, we don’t.  As artists/musicians, we simply want our music to be heard.  We are broke college graduates, so we understand spending as little as possible.  If you want to buy from somewhere more convenient, we understand that too.  We just wanted to provide you with the best deal to buy our music. On Bandcamp, you can spend less (and get more), all while supporting our music.

Answer: The Daily Double – Part 2 – “The Sonnet” and “399/400”

Image

We are still feeling pretty generous after putting up “We’re Only Human” “Back to the Roots”, so we decided to put up two more songs off our upcoming debut album.  “The Sonnet’ and “399/400” are both heavy ones and are full of surprising twists and turns, so don’t be scared.  D.B. Cooper Duo is here for you.
